Logo Design Brief

Pioneer Valley CrossFit is a strength and conditioning gym. People who CrossFit are proud of how intense the training is and want to wear t-shirts, hoodies, etc, to show off their affiliation. We need a logo that is somehow connects what we do with our locale, and also manages to be "edgy" in a non-cliched way.

To that end we've hit on the idea of using a "American Revolutionary War"-style eagle as a symbol (please see attached hand-drawn sketch for composition idea). We want the logo to look like a hand-drawn, pen-and-ink image (please see attached jpegs image for style reference). The banner above the barbell should say "strength" "conditioning" community". It needs to be executed in two colors: white (rgb 255-255-255 and yellow (rgb ). It will appear on a navy blue background.

As as whether to include the name of our gym (Pioneer Valley CrossFit) or simply our initials (PVCF) in the design, we leave that up to your discretion. The letters should be set on a circular path above or below the eagle. The eagle could be set on a circular field, too; again, whatever you think works (see attached image). You might also try ornamentation (vines, leaves, braids, etc).
