Canadian manufacturing company needs a logo

This is what Vulcan Manufacturing was looking for in their logo design

We need a logo for a company located in Winnipeg, Manitoba called "Vulcan Manufacturing". We manufacture a variety of industrial components, chiefly out of metal. Our name refers to the Roman god, Vulcan, who in Roman mythology is the god of the fire of metalworking and the forge. Our logo should look industrial, sharp, maybe almost military. We're imagining something with a prominent and unique "V"; a V that could be easily recognizable as ours, even without the rest of the logo. Something like an emblem, or crest. We're imagining something that would look equally good laser cut through a piece of steel as it would on a business card or baseball hat. We have an open mind on colors. Retro looks could be interesting as well. Read more
