Elevating the emerald coast lifestyle

This is what a proper shoppe was looking for in their logo design

This brand will become synonymous with white sand beaches and emerald green water. It embodies the upscale, coastal, sun-soaked lifestyle that is the Emerald Coast of Florida, USA.

I am looking for a logo that conveys simple, understated elegance.
Our shop is in an area that locals refer to as “proper,” as in the city limits = proper. The clientele is newly affluent but like to act as if they come from “old money,” hence the spelling of “shoppe.” We sell quality, limited quantity, items for those living coastal lifestyles on the Gulf of Mexico.

We need a mascot. It should be water-related and likable - perhaps a turtle, dolphin, starfish, etc. The mascot needs to be more lifelike than cartoonish in nature, please. If it looks like it could be in a child's television program, it is too cartoonish for this brand.
