Logo design needed - brand identity project

This is what Tako Grip was looking for in their logo design

We are in need of graphic design for our new company logo, print materials, promotional products, packaging etc. But first we just need a logo... We basically need to develop a brand image
for our product.


My partner and I are professional pole vaulters,
training in Knoxville and have been testing and developing a perfect
grip tape that can be used for a variety of sports and any purpose
where handgrip is important. After much trial and error we have
finally developed a perfect grip material and made it into a tape that
can be wrapped on any grip such as poles, racquets, bats etc. The tape
has been ordered and it is on the way. The next step for us is to
create a logo, and figure out the most appealing and efficient way to
package the tape. The name we came up with for our product is “Tako
