Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for our new "student sandbox". The name of the sandbox is IDEA (Innovative Design and Entrepreneurship Academy). This learning centre is a collaboration between three university groups: a faculty of engineering, a school of business, and a college of arts and design. We are located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

IDEA will be a space where university students and entrepreneurs can come together to develop start-up companies, explore innovative product design ideas and tap into mentorship and expertise from across various disciplines. We will do this through seminars, workshop weekends, and a 6-week full-time summer program. Our students will be mentored by successful entrepreneurs and business leaders. Our goal is to help produce the next generation of innovators and successful entrepreneurs in our region.

We want our logo to be a simple design which communicates product design, creativity, youthfulness, innovation, and collaboration. We would like to use the hex colour 093C4E and at least one other colour. You may choose to use some aspect of "sandbox" imagery in the design but it is not at all necessary. (Do not use the text "sandbox".) Our main desire is to communicate novel product design and collaboration.
