Graphic Design Brief

We would like to incorporate a tartan/argyle pattern into our cycling team kit, and promotional materials. We have a simple design, but need to add some depth and style to it. I have included our simple argyle pattern, and our current team jersey. What we need is a basic repeating pattern based on these colour and schemes, and some ideas of how to incorporate it into our kit.
I have included a link with a photo of the Garmin Sharp 2014 jersey, to show you the kind of look we are hoping to achieve, but that we can not produce with our limited artistic abilities. We like the idea of the argyle, and the incorporation of the maple leaf into that pattern, but also want to add some depth to the design itself.

Target Market(s)

Cyclists of all levels, but focused on high level competitive athletes. The design must be adaptable and integrated for both jersey and shorts, as well as have ideas that can be used on accessories like socks, arm warmers, jackets and gloves.

Requirements

Must have

• Incorporate our current team colours as seen on our website:
  www.balancepointracing.com
  
  Use the tartan/argyle patterning submitted with the design proposal.
  
  The blue colour should be "electric blue", which I can not seem to locate on the colour wheel provided.
  

Nice to have

• AN interesting and dynamic look that views well when cyclists are riding in the "racing" forward position.
  
  Final designs should be submitted using templates from the Champ-sys site (see link below) if possible, but initial rough work can take any form that is easy to view.
