Logo Design Brief

I sell fine art nature photographs and other related nature photography products to individuals and collectors. The target market is generally adults, young and old, interested in high end fine art. I am therefore looking for a simple, clean, and fairly abstract logo using the initials "IP", that might not immediately be recognizable as initials, and ideally fused with nature-inspired design (however it is absolutely not a requirement). I encourage you to be as creative as possible! I am looking for something modern and classy which communicates high quality. I'd like both a standalone logo as well as the logo and text combination "Ian Phelps Nature Photographs".

Target Market(s)

Adults of all ages, with some slight emphasis on luxury due to the nature of the fine art product.

Requirements

Must have

• The design should center around the initials "IP", however it should be fairly abstract and not necessarily recognizable as initials at first glance. It should be simple, clean, elegant, and portray professionalism. The design will be used as a watermark on images and therefore must be elegant and not distractive. The logo will be used for web and print. It must look professional and equally appealing in color or black and white.

Nice to have

• I'd also to have both a standalone symbol/logo as well as a symbol/logo combined with the text indicated above. I'd like to perhaps incorporate nature-inspired design into the initials (for example a leaf, tree, mountain(s), ocean, etc..). However it should not be forced and it is not a requirement. Unless it does not fit with the logo, I'd like to text that appears typed, not written.

Should not have

• Nothing that looks like clip art. Nothing complicated or with several colors. I'd like to avoid the integration of a camera into the logo unless it's particularly unique and creative. I'd like to avoid having the logo in any sort of frame, whether square or circle.
