Web Design Brief

We need a design for our website called Retroca which is a brazilian e-commerce focused on childrenswear. Basically your are able to swap (sell & buy) your kids outgrown clothes in the website and we will offer all the necessary services to help you on that.

We believe the main characteristic of the company is the swap of clothes and accessories, but we also feel that by doing this we are guaranteeing that this clothes are not going to trash, reducing clothes waste and being friendly with the environment.

We believe it should be clean with solid and soft colors (refer to the logo attached) and should communicate high quality standards and trust.

We need 2 web pages: home/search results and product details. In both pages we would like to have a fixed top bar with the logo, menu (Buy, Sell, About Us), login, a short message and shopping cart. As well as a footer on the botton with different options and social network links.

- Home/search results: right at the beginning of the page we would like to have a welcome/explanatory carousel banner. It should be a conventional 2 columns design with filters on the left (~25%) and the results on the main section (~3/4 products per row). We need filters for clothes and accessories (size,category, brands, color, gender).

- Product details: again, this should be very clean, with breadcrumbs on the top, a very short description (product's name, category, size), price, "Add to cart" button, an image with zoom functionality (as reference: jquery jqzoom), a "Similar Items" box and a share bar (facebook, twitter, pinterest, g+).

Please bear in mind that we plan to use the main template in different colors across the website.

Requirements

Must have

• We would like to have only the following elements in the header: logo, login, cart image, Home, "Compre" (Buy), "Venda" (Sell) - not necessarily in this order
  - The header should be persistent all over the website (always fixed at the top), thus, if it is too thick it will end up eating too much vertical space in some pages
  - The current page should be somehow highlited in the header
  - Right next to the cart image on the top we need a small tag indicating how many itens are already inside the cart
  - We need a button "Entenda como funcionamos" (which in english means "Learn more") in the banner
  - Please use an image of childrens in the banner (not clothes or teenagers)
  - Besides the banner, the user in a1024x768 screen resolution should at least be able to view the first row of search results
  - There is no need for a "Add to cart" button in every search result (keep price, size, type only). This option should only be available in the second page (product details)
  - When needed use "Adicionar ao carrinho" (portuguese) instead of "Add to cart" (english)
  - Regarding social network links in the footer, we only need facebook, twitter, pinterest, g+
  - In the search results page we need an option to show 12, 24, 48 results per page
  - Users need to be able to sort the results (newest first, price low-high and high-low)

Nice to have

• We don´t need a text search box anywhere in the website
  - There is no need to present the payment methods in neither pages
  - The image of the cart should be modified when there are items inside (full vs empty)
  - When the user moves the mouse over the cart image, a simple "div" should show up bellow it listing all items
  - Regarding social network links, we like icons that change colors when the user
  moves the mouse over them
  - Regarding the color scheme, use up to a max of 3 colors and feel free to change the logo colors if you find a better combination than the ones we provided
