Logo Design Brief
need a logo for the Borg Legacy Fund...Continuing a Century of Ministering Boys to Men. The Predecessor organization was the Boys Home Association which was founded in the early 1900's by Fred Borg and was a campus environment which took in abused and orphaned boys from elementary to adolescent age and provided them food clothing and shelter. That model (housing kids on campus) ended in the late 1990's and the organization continued serving the local community by managing foster care programs in NE Florida until its closing in 2011. The campus was sold in 2014 and the proceeds were integrated into the operations and management of and by a local charitable foundation and will be earmarked and used under the Borg Legacy Fund (BLF) brand.
The first target benefactor of the endowment created by and in the BLF will be an initiative by a local church which is aimed at providing after school food, clothing, hygiene and educational mentoring to adolescent and teenage boys who attend a local Jr. and Sr. High School and who live "on the streets" or in shanties in the woods or other makeshift housing without heat, running water or bathroom facilities. That program is called "Meals and Mentoring" and will use taglines such as "Tending to the Temporal...Affecting the Eternal" or "Today's Needs...Tomorrow's Future" . We are asking that two logos be created and that they be not totally dissimilar albeit we want them to be distinctive in their own respective right and identity.
ALL DESIGNERS I AM LOOKING FOR TWO DISTINCT LOGOS, NOT ONE THAT COMBINES THE BORG LEGACY FUND WITH MEALS AND MENTORING. I NEED ONE LOGO FOR THE BORG LEGACY FUND AND ONE LOGO (NOT TOTALLY DISSIMILAR) FOR MEALS AND MENTORING. PLEASE DO NOT COMBINE THE TWO AS THEY ARE FOR USE IN TWO DIFFERENT ENTITIES!

For all designers, please understand I need two logos that are distinctive: FIRST LOGO is for the Borg Legacy Fund ("BLF") which is the successor entity to the Boys Home Association which was Charity founded in the early 1900's which met the needs of abused and orphaned boys by providing housing and basic needs and sustenance in a campus style environment. That model changed at the end of the 20th century and the campus was sold to a local university. The proceeds from the sale of the campus created the fund for which we are looking to brand and market. the first recipient of the BLF endowment is a ministry to young Jr./Sr. High School boys who are homeless and that initiative is called "Meals and Mentoring" and that is the SECOND LOGO we need.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: We are not under a specific time crunch and really have until 11/15/14 to decide on a final logo design.
