Updates
Hi everyone,
We have now reviewed the first submissions and there are some ok, some good and a couple of great efforts in there. Here are the following common things that we commented on in our first reviews:
1. WHAT IS THE FLYER TRYING TO SAY... YOU'VE GOT 1 SECOND!!!!
This flyer is to be given out in the street. That gives you 1second to tell the reader what the flyer is selling. That is the number 1 priority for the flyer. Please make it your priority as designers.
2. SALE SALE SALE
This is the number 2 priority, people love SALES and a big colourful sticker saying SALE or 60% OFF (or both) is to be positioned so once the reader has seen that the flyer is about a craft beer brewing course, they see there is a sale on the course.
3. BRAND PERSONALITY
3rd priority is the Express Brewing brand identity. We picked this name, logo and colour scheme to stand out. Please use these to enhance points 1 & 2, but also get our logo on there is a bold and brash way.
4. USE THE BACK OF THE CARD
Place any info that is not required in 1, 2 & 3 on the back, or even remove it all together if YOU feel it is not suited. You are the designer, so make some design decisions! We are happy to ask you to add things back in if we feel it is lacking. Our best guess (and we are NOT designers) is that putting either the dates OR a brief description of the course on the back would be enough info. If you think we can get bother, without overloading the page, give it a go!
5. CALL TO ACTION
On the front and on the back, we want a CALL TO ACTION. Book at ExpressBrewing.com or just ExpressBrewing.com (you do not need http://www before it!!! We live in 2014 not 1994!!!)
6. MAKE IT BOLD, & THEN MAKE IT BOLDER
This flyer is to stand out to a person that is handed 1 different leaflet every 2 minutes while walking down a busy London high street. We MUST stand out.
Finally, thanks for all the designer so far, your efforts are greatly appreciated and we are very excited about the new revision of the design!
