Infographic Design Brief
Our company is a research organisation - see www.watersensitivecities.org.au. Our work is focused on the re-design of cities to make them more sustainable and liveable, with water as the catalyst.
One of the keys to successful implementation of our research ideas is the 'business case' that demonstrates to decision makers that the benefits of this approach to water management outweigh the costs (it usually costs extra!).
We have realised that traditional business case approaches wont cut it because they focus on the cheapest option, not the one that best satisfies community needs. So a new approach is needed. This is the focus of the infographic. It will highlight the crucial questions to ask (and answer obviously!) in a business case and importantly will highlight a few of the benefits. Statistics emerging from our research have been included to back this up.
The infographic will be used as a marketing and stakeholder engagement piece, so will be included in presentations, annual reports as well as posters.
The web site gives a feel for the corporate colour scheme however style is open to new ideas.
The attached powerpoint file shows five separate but linked concepts that should be included in the infographic. 1. the drivers/need 2. key questions you need to ask when developing your business case 3 . where/how the answers to these questions fit back into a traditional business case process 4. an overview of the benefits of creating a water sensitive city 5. stats. to show that these benefits are real.
These slides have the content but need a design that is consistent across the ideas and ties them together to make a cohesive infographic.
