Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for stationary, web, etc. for a real estate firm in Maryland. The firm is called Red Cedar Real Estate. We help people buy and sell houses.
I have included a picture of a house. If possible, I would like this house incorporated in the design, but it is not mandatory. If you do put the house in the design, the house should be red with a black roof.
The color red I would like used for this design is close to #884444. I do not want the design to be bright and flashy. It should be subtle and professional.
I have also included a zip file of logos with a similar style to what we are looking for.
