Mascot Design Brief
We are a martial arts school (South Elgin Budokan) that focuses on drawing in the average family that wants to participate in martial arts activities. We already have a business logo, looking for a human character icon. We offer multiple martial arts programs for kids 3 to 103. Programs range from traditional (controlled/calm) martial arts (judo, tai chi, aikido, etc) to modern (sometimes chaotic/rough&tough) (MMA, boxing, kickboxing).
Budoman should include - wear a martial arts uniform; skin tone medium, hair medium brown. Appealing to all ages (non-childish). Our school colors are black and red with a touch of silver/gray. Attached is our logo. Would like to see multiple profiles of character. We would like him to represent having fun participating in any style of martial arts and being a part of the Budokan family.

A little more clarity.
We're looking for a realistic looking male martial artist figure that will appeal to children and adults. Not too cartoony or too hulkish-built looking. A friendly instructor who expounds self-esteem. Our student base consists of average people who want to learn martial arts and be a part of our Budokan family. Many students do compete in tournaments, but only a small percentage go into aggressive (UFC, Boxing for example) competitive fighting.
If we were to commission someone to build a costumed figure for a parade, for example, the character would be easily recognizable as our school's icon / mascot.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: We haven't seen anything close to what we have in mind. Attached a PDF with some characteristics we are looking for. This has to be a mascot-like character that can be replicated in many media including costumes for parades for example. Again, we're looking for a personality that will appeal to soft & hard martial art students young and old.
