Logo Design Brief
Need a logo for "Unraised Spirits" an offshoot of our main theatre company, "Unking'd".
This (new) side-company will be animal hand puppets auditioning for, rehearsing, and performing the work of William Shakespeare. They are called "Unraised Spirits."
We are looking for a logo/image for them that captures this idea of puppets that are, quite literally "unraised" ( taken from the line in Henry V, "But pardon, gentles all, the flat unraised spirits that hath dared On this unworthy scaffold to bring forth So great an object.."
I've attached my own (absolutely awful) sketch of a hand puppet laid inanimate on its side beside a crown as a jumping off point.
Possibly, but not necessarily with a nod to "Unking'd", the mother company. (logo uploaded.)
Also uploaded are shots of some of our "cast!"

Nice to have
- I'm fond of the idea of an image of a hand puppet while its not "working," so to speak. The idea of a "flat, unraised, spirit."
- The settings wont let me save the color changes below but a greyscale image is most likely what I'm looking for, however open to a color image if the right one comes along. "No preference. Let the designer choose." Is what I would have liked to have saved.
Should not have
- Should be playful but not at all juvenile. These puppets do theatre for adults (the youtube channel includes stories of puppet's love lives and tragic histories etc.) It's lighthearted and comedic but ultimately is puppets doing speeches about hot irons burning out their eyes, making children into pies, and all the other dark twists that make it into Shakespeare's cannon.
