Book Cover Design Brief

I want the cover to convey calm, while also being appropriate for Christmas. Perhaps Christmas lights muted into the background or something of the sort.

Below are 2 links to give some ideas as to photos that I think might work (but please feel free to submit something that doesn't use these, too! You're the expert, not me!)

The first link I like because I love the concept of lights in the background, however I'm not a fan of the fur under the ornament.

I’m attaching a word doc with a concept for the back cover. The top section ideally will be offset (in a larger font or something). The pic for the bio can easily go. If there is room and it matches, I’ll throw on my logo, and we’ll need to leave space for the barcode (specs are found here: https://www.createspace.com/Products/Book/CoverPDF.jsp). I can easily tweak the content, especially if there is too much/little.

Target Market(s)

Primary market: Christians who are hoping to gain a deeper appreciation for the meaning of Christmas, most likely will appeal mostly to women ages 25-55.

Must have

• The spine width is .40536"
• The cover width needs to be 11.155”, which accounts for bleed (.125” bleed on back + 5.25” back + .405 spine + 5.25” front + .125” bleed front)
• The height needs to be 8.25” (8” + .125” bleed on top and bottom)

Nice to have

• I'm attaching my logo (gratimoments) if there is room on the back cover.
• I'm clueless about fonts, other than that I don't want it to be a cursive script that could be hard to read.
