Thanks for your feedback. Happy to look at all designs. There are no similar bars nearby so not a huge issue.

The samples you have posted would be described as rustic. You mentioned you didn't want rustic.

We want a jolly roger as it is the universal symbol of pirates but would like a modern take on it with clean lines kind of Pirates of the Caribbean style. The Pirate Pub example is so designers could see the orientation we liked of skull etc in designs we have seen so far. The bar will be decorated in an industrial style with nautical theme rather than rustic. We wanted our logo to reflect this. Cartoon style and anything too rustic does not reflect this.

Not particularly interested in such an overused concept for the crowdsourcing.
