Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for my new travel agency. Solis is a Latin word that means the "sun". The full name of my business is Solis Travel, LLC. I have in mind for the logo to be a vintage type drawing of the sun with possibly North, South, East and West designated on it. I will most likely need to obtain a trademark for the logo so no clip art or stock photos can be used in the design. It needs to be original and from scratch. My agency is a small business located in southwest Louisiana. I'm open to other suggestions as long as we stay with the sun being included somewhere in the logo. I also like vintage atlas, compass and globe pictures.


In regard to the images I uploaded:
I like these pics but can't use them because I wouldn't be able to trademark them. The sun portion of the logo doesn't have to be quite as detailed as these uploaded images.

I'd like the logo to be something along these lines, but I'm open to suggestions.
