Wordpress Design Brief

Hi everyone,

We need someone to design us a fully functional Wordpress site and set up our pages etc for a new corporate video production company based in Sydney, 'Bird On Fire' (The name refers to the mythological 'phoenix'). The website is www.birdonfire.com.au. We haven't written the web copy yet so under the different headings (listed in the website structure pdf), we were just hoping for some lorem ipsum as a place holder.

The stationary has been designed and is attached to this brief as a reference. For brand consistency, the WordPress design needs to be look at home with the stationary design, but with a touch of 'sleek and modern' appropriate to an innovative company that works with the latest technology. No futuristic circuit boards please. :)

We also want to be a little more approachable with the website.
One company that really stands out for their approachability and fun style is 'Messages On Hold'.

www.MessagesOnHold.com.au should be considered a guide to the layout and functionality of the website we are looking for. Please also note their use of icons and imagery to bring the different sections of their website to life, including links, mailing list etc. This gives the site colour and leaves a lasting impression on the viewer.

The website is easy to navigate, not too cluttered to look at and has a great welcome video. We want to capture a similar welcoming feeling but still need to keep the elegance of the business card.

In short, we need to appear fresh and creative while maintaining professionalism.


ABOUT OUR REQUIREMENTS:
1. Our website will utilize SEO marketing techniques and have a blog and needs to be designed in an SEO friendly manor.
2. There will be a welcome video on the landing page that visitors will be encouraged to click on when they arrive at the website. Note: This video is yet to be produced.
3. Portfolio page with an easy to use, clean video playback and perhaps some sort of video gallery - preferrably JWplayer free, we will purchase full version upon completion.
