Logo Design Brief
Looking for a logo for an Austin, Texas-based political consulting firm specializing in new media, social media, online media, etc. I work with candidates, organizations, and other groups looking for guidance and strategy on their campaigns and other efforts. My goal is to become a full-service political and corporate firm that does a little bit of everything for clients, not just "new media" (which may end up as an obsolete concept in a few years).
Looking for a logo I can put on my website, business cards, stationery, etc., as I start this new venture up.

I wonder if this could be accomplished in FSG, and maybe in this colorful scheme, but also an alternative based on just different shades of darker and lighter blue?

Here's one more idea. It's sort of obscure, but Ben Franklin is a great American hero and one of the founding fathers. He was known for many things, including inventing bifocal glasses, "discovering" electricity, etc. A kite is a big part of the Franklin lore. He apparently flew a kite with a key on it in an lightning storm, and he learned how electricity worked.
It might be cool to try to incorporate something from the kite or a kite with a key into the design, to drive home the name of the organization.
