Logo Design Brief

Hello all! I would like a unique logo for a Microsoft oriented website called "WinBeta." We are a news site that covers all things Microsoft. Currently our logo is outdated (see attachment).

We want a modern, flat, and unique look to our logo and it must match our site's design and color scheme. It can match the MS flag in terms of colors, or if you think a single color would be best, we are open to that idea too! Show me what you got!
