Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for a painting business called " Laurentide Canvas Painting".
We like to focus our business on clients that have an appreciation of style and design, whether it be in their homes or workplace. Not only for the homeowner but also for interior designers, architects and the builders that make their ideas a reality. We like to focus on upscale and professional clientele. I've already created a website (www.laurentidecanvas.com) with a temporary logo. It seems I like that dark maroon color but not beholden to it. Laurentide was an ice sheet that helped form the Connecticut River Valley where I work. By using the earths surface as its canvas, it created a beautiful landscape.
