Logo Design Brief
We need a visually striking LOGO DESIGN (not just the name of the band) for our rock-band based in Calgary Alberta named "ROCK BOTTOM". We are going through a substantial re-branding after 2 years and changing our entire visual look, appearance and stage show. We are an 80's Hard Rock/Metal stage band/recording group that is moving our image to reflect a very classy yet rebellious Steam Punk/Semi-Goth/Symphonic metal look complete with dark burgundy velvet, ornate vests, tails, long hair and Victorian era dress. We want our logo to reflect our name within a Steam Punk/Victorian/Goth Metal culture like you would see in New Orleans - even the Vampire Lestat folklore. We love the steam punk font Exotica but it's common and we want our logo to be much more visionary and striking. We're not a bunch of young kids - 3 of us are session players with 25+ years experience so we are looking to reflect a high caliber presence with our logo and appearance. Hope that makes sense everyone and many thanks in advance.

The writing for Rock Bottom needs to be Legible and in a very stand out shiny colour that is extremely contrasting from the rest.. I am thinking something along the lines of this picture that I have just uploaded. It is from here

Instead of guns we would want some sharp looking guitars. And instead of the sheriff badge you could put a red rose
For the gold coloured area if you could make that really shiny Brass colour
The WWW gear circle at the top ..If you could make that a Bass Drum.
Where it Says Steampunk ...It would say Rock Bottom with a very bright contrasting colour or 2 colours meshed together...

We have added examples of what we want.,....Very vivid colours and a logo that really ctches the eye and stands out with a steampunk theme....I am finding all sorts of examples on the web but what is being produced here seems to lack the sharp vividness and capture what we really want....Please look at the examples ....This will lead to much more work and web design etc but we need the LOGO perfect....If you can read the last update for what we want...Can you duplicate that logo that says steampunk wild wild west convention into our design that I said in the last update....It needs to be that sharp..

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Hi friends - we have extended the deadline because we aren't seeing what we are hoping to see in our logo in terms of level of detail. We are looking for a really striking LOGO design that is professional for a professional band. If you look at the detail we had on our original logo you will see that it was vibrant, had little details that made it visually appealing, and it was bright with our name clearly standing out. We appreciate everyone's efforts but please, don't just put something together. Make something that you would think looked cool on a CD case or a backdrop behind the band on stage. That's what this is all about and it needs to be unique and really cool for people to enjoy. Thanks everyone.

Must have
- LOGO DESIGN (not just the name of the band) Must have the name ROCK BOTTOM in it with a Steam Punk/Semi-Goth/Symphonic metal look. We would like a very detailed logo that has additional features with the band name (our last logo was a heart with a guitar through it and is attached) that is completely original so that we can use it as our one and only logo from here on in. We like wings, we like hearts, we love tattoos. We want ROCK BOTTOM to be in a steam punk format as well. Black, dark reds, burgundy, dark purples.
Nice to have
- We are trying to relate to the sub-culture of metal, not death metal or speed metal. We want to bring the image of the long-haired musician a state of elegance and class while remaining rebellious and individual in our life style.
Should not have
- Simplicity is not our target. Detail and visually striking but better than our last logo (attached). LOGO DESIGN (not just the name of the band)
