Signage Design Brief

We are looking to spruce up the old office here at DesignCrowd, and why not use our amazing designers for the project!

This design will be viewed by our employees everyday :) and will be in our doorway leading to the office. See the photo attached as well as the dimensions.

NOTE THE UPDATES PLEASE AS OF NOV 8, 10 AM Australian time!!

The designs should be 1 color (probably white on top of grey), the background color remain dark grey. The logo should be prominent, and CAN be modified a bit (e.g. with sketch style of the character attached).

Updates

We've received some good designs, so far thanks for submitting! Here are 2 pieces of advice

1) Requirements - Use the grey background, and white overtop. Make it just a two-colour design (grey & white). Also, UPDATE, the design will need to fit the dimensions of 595 mm X 2000 mm, we will not be able to use the area horizontally above the door.

2) Criteria to Select a Winner - we are looking for more than a compilation of elements and our ideas. We are looking for you repurpose our graphics, come up with another idea, and stretch our creative thoughts. Our winner will have a design outside the box!! This is what to aim for!

Thanks,
DesignCrowd

About 33% of you included the design on the door. As pictured the door is always open so is not part of the canvas. See the new dimensions, which is 595mm X 2000mm

Thanks

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: We've got some great designs but would love to see more!
Added Friday, November 09, 2012

Hi designers! Sorry it's been a bit since the last round of feedback. We see some good elements in the submissions that we can work with to improve and select a winner! We're working on a short time-frame to get a final round of submissions by early next week, so today I'll be eliminating designs, giving direct feedback on the others, and making some change requests based on your designs.

A few notes on the brief based on the design submissions we've seen. We'll be using either a stencil or a printed roll-on to actually get the design up on the wall, keep this implementation in mind for how you design. We want to crowdsource a cool new design, not something we could make in-house, so put your creative hat on!. Some more specific guidance: We want this design to be bold, & say "DesignCrowd" so put focus on the name & logo to be front & center. Second most important feature to show is the sketch-man of DC (or alternatively a creative take on him), or another image about our business like a globe with lightbulbs, (or creative idea). The winning design will have some creativity to it!

Thanks to all of our designers and expect to see some feedback today!

Requirements
Must have
  • DesignCrowd name (Vertical length or horizontal, both options)?
    The DesignCrowd logo
(NOTE: Measurements & actual photos attached) - NOTE THE UPDATE AS WELL with dimensions. It is now 595mm X 2000 mm only on the right side.
Nice to have
  • Sketch-Style graphic (a few options included)
Arrow with the Boopee font type with text:"Faster. Better. More Creative."

Incorporate creative "door entry" concepts. Come up with your own creatives! That will be key for us to choose a winner - incorporate creativity. Here are some ideas:
    1) Keypad for security entry
    2) Security camera in top right corner with a message between hip & eye level "Look up for eye scan"
    3) Place to put hand for laser scan
    etc.

    Creativity required :)
Should not have
  • It should not be too "busy" and have too much going on. Close your eyes and imagine walking past this, you should be able to see everything in a quick glance and maybe even say "ah that's nice" before you start your day/meeting/interview to work here.
