Logo Design Brief

inov8 is a new online match making service for inventors/innovators with new products and the global companies seeking to buy into new innovations. inov8 will be promoted to inventors and innovators around the world by Twitter, inviting them to put their inventions in front of hundreds of global companies, all seeking new innovations. inov8 will also be promoted directly to the global companies that are seeking new innovations to keep them at the forefront of technology.

inov8 is being jointly sponsored by TorqBak (www.TorqBak.com ) and iVeridis (www.iveridis.com). I have attached both logos for inspiration, although we are not necessarily looking for a mashup or blending of the two logos.

Twitter based 'calls to action' (@inov8 tweets sent to identified inventors and owners of innovative solutions) will be divided into individual streams and branded accordingly, so for example, a call to find solar powered innovations and solutions would go out with a 'call to action' from a Twitter handle of '@inov8_solar', whilst a call for big data solutions might use a Twitter handle of @inov8_bigdata. Most outbound tweets will contain an image as well as text, and the inov8 logo may be prominently displayed in the image, along with those of the sponsor companies.

What We Need

We need to create a logo and an associated Twitter icon so that we can brand inov8 in a visually attractive and compelling manner.

Brand Logo

inov8 is all in lower case and the logo must be too. There are no restrictions on colour scheme other than that the scheme must be simple and make use of Windows accessible colour palettes. The design should communicate cutting edge innovation in all its forms. It is likely that the colour scheme will be repeated in other design elements on web sites and Facebook pages so this should be borne in mind when selecting the palette. The logo should be in high resolution.

Twitter Icon

This should stand alone and be clearly identifiable as coming from inov8 so, for example, a Twitter icon that was just comprised of the letters 'i8' would not make it clear what the company was called or did.
The format must be square and make maximum use of the available space. It must be possible for the viewer to see the icon and instantly realise that this is all about innovation.The icon image should be a minimum of 500 x 500 pixels
