logo design which includes a crest

We are an educational company focusing on the california private high school placement test. Our students are 8th graders working towards gaining acceptance to elite, private high schools in the los angeles area.

We are looking for a crest that incorporates a tree with branches (designer has creative liberty with this). One idea is for the tree to come out/grow out of an open book but we are not married to this idea. Logo/crest must have an elite, prestigious, preparatory school feel to it.

Colors: hunter green, rich greens, white, possibly off white, light silver/grey also options but primary color is Hunter green. Green must be prominent with hints of the secondary color.
