Packaging Design Brief
I am raising money to start a manufacturing business that will be owned 51% by those in poverty. these are low skilled jobs that do not require an eduction - just work ethic and dedication to quality production. We will be producing lettuce, herbs and other greens inside a building without sun or soil using technology that will change the way produce is grown. To see the technology go to www.omegagarden.com This produce will be pesticide free, chemical free, grown locally and will require only 5% of the water necessary for traditional farming. Imagine countries like Africa where people are starving because the water supply is so limited so they can't grow food.
The business exists to:
1. eradicate poverty worldwide. Poverty cannot be eradicated without economic empowerment.
2. enable food production in areas previously impossible to achieve. eradicate starvation.
3. deliver healthy organic foods to the world that does not destroy our planet and deplete our valuable resources.
We will start our first company in a disadvantaged neighborhood (Harlem or Bronx?) in the United States and will eventually expand nationally and globally as we achieve our success metrics. Bringing valuable jobs. economic empowerment and sustainable food production to the world. We will land large contracts from companies like Walmart, Starbucks & Whole Foods that will enable us to take our manufacturing to all corners of the world where these companies need fresh healthy foods to sell.
Every place we open we will dedicate production machines to produce food for foodbanks for that area so that those that can't afford to pay for it can have free access to fresh healthy foods.
The name of the product line will be UrbanMPower
We will use street art as the brand image.
I would like to see cool ways to integrate the name (perhaps sideways?) street art and product description taglines into the packaging. I have a sample image of street art that we can use for illustrative purposes. I will be hiring a street artist to create my images once I get funding.
Types of products
1.Packaged salad greens that do not need washed such as Organic Arugula, Organic Baby Spinach, Organic Kale
2. packaged fresh herbs: organic basil, organic thyme
3. packaged drinks (made from our produce) to be sold at places like Starbucks
4. packaged cooked foods (like collard greens, spinach pies )
You get the picture.

Requirements
Must have
- I have another company logo that will need to be added to the packaging but it must be made small and not the focus. That logo will be my company and the tagline on it will say...
A Social Market Maker Company.
I want the M in my logo to be the same typeface as the M in UrbanMPower.
cool, hip, youth oriented. i want this to stand out on the retail stand. the street art should be prominent as that is our brand differentiator. i want this to be something that will make people stand up and take notice. Something that not only stands for power from the bottom up but also something that stands for a different kind of produce/product. One that is environmentally sound. that is highly nutritious and fresh. One that will enable hunger around the world to be eradicated.
We stand for urban empowerment. and street art came from poor neighborhoods in the US and it is amazing!!!!
I also want to see the look and feel on various types of packaging so that i can envision various product lines. Please note that this is not a final finished packaging - this is going to be used as part of my presentation to help me sell my vision and to give the investors an idea of the various types of channels we have to market to and why street art is the way to best represent our product line. So I am looking for the right look and feel to represent my packaging in general. The packaging images you provide will be used only as images - not for the real production.
