Logo Design Brief

My company es a small boureau and we develop statistical databases and counsultant & marketing research. This issue sound so serious but a woman is the leader so, I want something soft and not with the typical statistics designs with bars or arrows.
Now I have a logo but i want to change it because has two colors dark gray and orange, and I think the dark gray makes it look hard.
I want the letters LML be part of the logo, that will make my logo very personal and my own sign.
The colors I want to use is orange and green but not bright, terracota tones will be great.

Finally I will need two extra applications one for ppoint presentations and other for business cards.
Aware: LML big letters, Consultores, smaller
I want an emblem logo type, but not looking like a shield,,,
