Logo Design Brief

We need a new logo for a new wine bar located in Melbourne, Australia called Oak & Steel. The name represents the vessels that wine is matured in, oak for red and some white and steel for white wine. The bar will offer a rotation of numerous wine varieties from the various wine producing regions around Australia region by region. We will also offer craft beer and cider as well as speciality cheese platters from the same region to complement the wines on offer. Some of our unique features will include:
1. Our walls will feature a rotation of art (paintings, drawings, photography) from some of Melbourne's most established and upcoming artists. They are available to purchase.
2. We offer patrons BYO food -as Melbourne is considered a foodie city, our location in Prahan has many cuisine options to choose from and we encourage patrons to bring or order in food from outside where they can pare their favourite food with their favourite wine beer or cider.

Target Audience
25-45. Urbanites.
Our customers would come from the well healed suburbs surrounding Prahan. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, it is ideal for people looking for a relaxed environment to enjoy their favourite meal with a vast choice of wine, beer and cider to match. We are not stuffy and accessible to anyone interested in wine regardless of their wine knowledge.

Design Preference
The logo should demonstrate who we are: Modern with a hint of vintage hip, relaxed, casual and reliable.
I have attached a visual reference below. Our logo colour preference is oak and brushed steel. The logo is to include the tagline WINE - ART - BYO FOOD we have no colour preference for the tagline.
