Graphic Design Brief
We need a new logo for an existing company (the old one is included below). The company is a meat processor. The company purchases frozen meat (beef, chicken, pork) in large pieces (30-50 pounds) and cuts or slices these large pieces into smaller pieces (according to customer specifications or market preferences). The smaller pieces are repacked into 10 pound cardboard boxes, 20 pound cardboard boxes, or 20 pound plastic bags, among other alternatives. This process occurs in a United States Department of Agrigulture (USDA) inspected Meat Processing plant that we own and operate. The finalized orders are sold and delivered to our (corporate) customers who then sells to the final customer (restaurants, cafeterias, delis) or directly to the final customer (restaurants, cafeterias, delis) who comes to our facility to purchase directly from us. This whole process occurs in a frozen or near frozen environment (which is a challenge because we are in a tropical island).
I would like a logo that includes the name of the company and is primarily red (like the current one), or any shade of darker reds (brick, red wine) or bright reds (stop light). No light reds. There can be black and white. Yellow (or shades) can be included, but in much smaller proportion to the other colors. The logo will be used for business cards, stationery, product labels, and to imprint our cardboard boxes and plastic bags where the product is placed to be sold to our customers. It is important that the logo can be easily switched to one color (black), so we can have the option of imprinting boxes or bags with only a one-color option. The one-color option is PART of this project (not a separate project). The name of the company can be in CAPS, lowercase or Combined.
Our target market is food distribution companies and food service providers (restaurants, cafeterias, delis, anybody who further prepares our product and turns it into food to be served at their establishment).

Thank you for your participation.

There have been some great designs
submitted. We have worked hard to eliminate designs that we know will
not work for us. However, we have decided to extend the deadline for 7
more days to allow for additional designs.
If your design has NOT been eliminated, feel free to submit additional
variations. This means that your design is still under consideration
and additional tweaks can make the difference.
Thank you all for your participation.
Sincerely,
Quality Meats Management Team

Requirements
Must have
- The logo must include the name of the company in full: "Quality Meats"
The primary color must be red or variant (dark or bright; not light). Black and white can be used. Yellow (of shades) can be used, but in a much smaller proportion to the other colors.
I must be able to switch the logo to ONE color (preferably black) in order to facilitate the preparation of printing plates used for cardboard box or plastic bag production.
Nice to have
- Any reference to beef, chicken or pork can be included, but in a tasteful and creative way and preferably in its final "edible" form (e.g. a steak instead of a cow).
Any reference to our location (tropical island) is fine, but not necessary.
