Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a payment based tech company based in New Zealand. We design and develop loyalty programs, gift, pre- paid and credit cards.
Rubio Limited is the company name but we will trade as "Rubio".
Some of our initial work with clients will be in the ibeacon space with custom apps linked thru to their loyalty program.
We have a sister company called Rubia which is in a ruby red colour so we would want to stay away from reds.
Our final design should communicate, innovation, reliable and smart.

We have another company called Ryder Inc which has a R as it logo so I dont want to follow that theme....

Ok update: The design attached was the winner so you can see what it looked like...However it was a copy of another logo but hopefully you will get a feel of what I like
