As a pussy lover this sounds fab! Will you be guaranteeing payment?

LOL...we aren't sure yet. This is our first project on here and are a little nervous as we don't know what we can be expecting. What are you thoughts?

We HATE the idea that any one would work for free. But a lot of these "web contest' kind of things attract people who aren't really graphic designers..but people who WANT to be graphic designers. So we got a little nervous about locking up our money.

Understandable. If I were in your shoes, I would feel the same. I was a little dubious about the site at first myself, but from the other, designing/payment/intellectual theft side of things, etc. But all of my concerns have been either unfounded or addressed - thus far, thankfully.

My thoughts re guaranteeing payment? Many designers won't submit to projects that haven't been guaranteed, as time is money and they don't want to waste it. There are exceptions though, if something really grabs a designer they will do it anyway! Guaranteeing Payment does give a sense of security to the designer - as the client cannot 'steal' their ideas/concept, then dip out without paying them.

One thought is to possibly wait and select 'guaranteed payment' once you have received a submission/submissions you are happy with, and/or which are tacking along the lines you want?

Giving designer's feedback greatly helps to get the result you need and once you have the basis of just what you are after, a 'guaranteed payment' will ensure any designer will go to every lengths to work with you to get precisely the desired end result.

Hope that helps? (apols for being so wordy lol!)

Is there any update on this project at all?

I came across this project by accident just now. And yes, most real designers will stay far away from non-guaranteed projects. The main reason being that the idea of brainstorming concepts for free is not very attractive as time is very valuable and we usually schedule all our projects (+ we receive paid invitations from guaranteed projects by clients with larger budgets when they view our portfolio). Most of us do this on our free time as we work in agencies or studios full time. We participate in non-guaranteed ones only if they catch our attention (which happens only 5% of the time).

We hope this experience will not prevent you from coming back with a guaranteed project. I assure you the results will be very pleasing if you do.

Remember to check out brandcrowd.com which is also owned by the same company. You will find ready to use brands and logo designs from the very best designers (many also participate here on designcrowd).

Hope to see you back soon.

WOLF.
