Web Design Brief

I need designs (PSD only - no programming) for several pages of a new website helping train operators to manage key information about their traindrivers.

The main feature of this website is the management of personnel records (create, edit, search, delete). Another key aspect is the management of user privileges. Since this is a new website we also need a user friendly frontpage, pricing information and how it works sections.

This can be broken down into 9 pages for which we need designs (PSDs).

1. Home
2. Driver record
3. How it works
4. Pricing
5. User administration
6. Help
7. Record list view
8. Login
9. Registration

Navigation (not logged in) are: Home | How it works | Pricing | Customers | About us | Contact
Navigation (logged in) are: Overview | Administration | Manage records | Billing | Help | Contact
Footer: Customer logos | Awards | Terms & Conditions | Privacy

To provide the best support for you to come up with a strong design proposal I will provide DAILY feedback to all participants. We have also created concept mockups (attached) and example pages (below) for each section to give you a clear sense of what we look for.

The core concepts for a successful bid are that the website is EASY to understand, INTUITIVE to navigate, and SIMPLE to use. Most of our users lack technical background and are looking for tool to simplify their work.

The strongest participants (winner and close contenders) will have the opportunity to additional commissioned work on additional sections not included in this brief.

e) EU Compliant: Follows the latest directives

3. How it works description:

Dear All

Thank you for all your great submissions so far! So far we have focused on the homepage and with many submissions we only need minor modifications to feel confident about the structure and quality. To help us get there I have posted a PDF with the common elements and structures from those concepts we are most happy with. Please use this together with my comments to understand how to finalize your proposal.

I also want us to start with the second phase which include 2 other pages. How it Works and Pricing. These will have few new features and instead re-use a lot of elements from the Home page. To help with this I have included suggestions on the structure of those pages in the uploaded PDF.

Best,
Emil

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: First of all we´ve been impressed with the quality of submissions and the overwhelming interest it has generated. Despite of the high number of high quality submissions it has taken us more time than anticipated to finalize some of the early design concepts (Home, Prices, How it Works...). which in turn has caused delays in generating approved versions of pages in the later stages of the competition (Help, Login, Registration etc.) We believe a few more days will allow us to get final or near final versions our the remaining pages and select a winner. Thank you for the great work!
