The First United Methodist Church in Maryville, Missouri has developed a new vision for the future. We are seeking a logo that conveys that vision. The vision statement is "Connecting people at life’s crossroads to God’s love and grace." Our church is located at the main "crossroads" in town (First Street and Main Street). Our three core values are "Connecting", "Growing", and "Reaching Out"...and we've talked about "connecting" those values to "Community", "Christ", and "Church". -Attached files are a concept one of our members had done and the overall UMC logo (nothing we have to use)
Updates
In talking with our Vision team, we think the "community, Christ, church" text could be eliminated, to make the whole logo less "wordy"... Although we aren't against a design that incorporates them in a interesting fashion. Those words are *what* we are connecting, the verbs (inviting, growing, reaching out) are *how* we are connecting (and the more important text)
Comment 2: the logo doesn't need to be overtly religious. Part of our goal is to develop a logo/brand to help connect with people that are unfamiliar with church. Thank You!

Thanks everyone for submitting designs! Can we possibly look at something with "Crossroads" as the main word (instead of "connect")? We are still feeling out which word really has the most 'pop'. Thanks!

Requirements
Nice to have
- We would like to see a logo that is reproducible in monochrome, but color is OK. We have talked about a concept of two roads intersecting at a common theme word (Connect), but are open to other ideas.
