Logo Design Brief

Looking for a logo for my freelance marketing business. I provide social media, SEO, content marketing, and other marketing services.

The name of my business, Open Net Media, represents two points of view: 1. "Open Net" can represent the open internet. The web is so vast, with so many opportunities to market to and connect with customers, and it allows you to be creative and represent your company in new, effective ways. I want to give my clients an "open net", where they can try anything when it comes to promoting their business.
2. I grew up in a hockey family, and an "Open Net" in hockey represents opportunity, the chance to score with nothing in your way. I think that represent what I like to offer my clients - the chance to succeed in marketing and having opportunity to grab hold of.

Overall, my aesthetic is modern. My clients are web startups and small businesses, so I'm looking for something sleek and simple -think web 2.0 aesthetic: http://www.davidmihm.com/blog/design/what-defines-the-web-20-aesthetic. I prefer sans serif fonts and do not like flashy, colorful imagery. In fact, I'd prefer the colors to be neutral, so that I may play around with the colors of my website without affecting the logo. My Open Net Media website is under construction, but my personal site, sandrarand.com represents how simple I prefer my design to be.
