Logo Design Brief

We have just commenced the refurbishment of 'Pier Bar' in Cairns Queensland and require a new brand identity.

The proposed interior scheme is evocative of a coastal beach house, with lots of nautical references, distressed materials and natural finishes. See design proposals attached.

The venue will include an impressive bar and back bar, outdoor terrace with sea views, 'pier' feature in ceiling, stage for live music, great food offer, lounge for semi-private events, and pool tables.

We are looking for a creative and professional solution which reflects the interior scheme and is appropriate for the target market.

It has been a favorite for travellers and locals for over 10 years. It is positioned overlooking the water on Pierpoint Road as part of The Pier Marketplace. Open every day from 11am until late. Somewhere perfect for a Sunday Session.
The food & beverage offer is relaxed but quality, pizzas, burgers, small eats, share plates, coffee, good beer, wine, cocktails etc. There is live entertainment, DJs later on the weekends. It's a relaxed comfortable venue, not pretentious and is welcoming to all. Our customers are majority 20-45, travellers, backpackers & locals but does extend to families, other.

The logo needs to be fresh and cool.
Needs to be easy to read and please no green.
