Logo Design Brief

We are a startup company with a web based application. We are looking for a logo and company/product name. Our business is an online mortgage application that helps lenders and borrowers interact with the investors that buy mortgages.

The site will provide information on mortgage rates and other relevant information to all parties. The product is a web based application in the mortgage origination business and financial services industry. The company name and logo must have a broad and memorable appeal because it will be serving individual borrowers, mortgage lenders, and institutional investors. Key words of the business: rate, invest, transparency, mortgage, loan, borrow. Similar concepts or sites would include Quickenloans.com, Mint.com, and Lendingclub.com.

The name does not have to directly relate to the industry or product but should be appealing to both borrowers and financial service providers (banks and financial insitutions). Key attributes of the product/company are: transparency, alignment, trustworthiness, and ease of use.

The users include (i) retail borrowers which are typically between 30 and 60; (ii) lenders that are very well versed in the industry; and (iii) institutional investors who are very sophisticated in the financial markets. The name and logo must be professional, but must also have a simple appeal to the broad base of mortgage borrowers.
