Logo Design Brief

My logo will be used on letterhead, in presentations, marketing materials and all communication that I distribute. We are a planning firm that develops solutions that create healthy livable communities (neighborhoods, entire city strategies, and sometimes state initiatives). We work directly with local government agencies, but would like to be seen as edgy, trend setting and more creative than most planning firms. We use social media, are great community involvement specialists and have a technical service that delivers innovative concepts. Would like to see a design that communicates communities at large, components of place, primarily green colors. Other complementary colors are good too.

Requirements

Must have

• Cityscape or image of a community that embeds alternative modes of transport (walking, running, biking, eco cars, etc). Would like the logo to work in color and in black and white. The images do not have to be literal or each element included, they are just to be used as inspiration or abstract in nature as well.

Nice to have

• I like the starbucks design concepts that are found on their website, under responsibility. Many environmental vectors have a good foundation. I would like to have a cityscape that isn't nyc, but a mid size city, with a road and either a person walking or biking. The font for PlanActive Studio can either be part of the design or incorporate the logo by the design. Would like font choice and design/layout for the firm name as well. My company is environmentally friendly, supports active lifestyles, design of roadways to make all places equal to all modes of transportation (biking, walking,etc).
