Logo Design Brief
Outpost Games is a brand new video game company in San Francisco.
We know that people need to express their skill and creativity. And we think that video games that bring out the best in people's skill & creativity can become just as exciting to tune into as any high-stakes sport or dramatic TV show. We're building the kinds of video games that fulfill this need.
Outpost makes sophisticated, adult-themed computer games that are fairly realistic. The themes and characters of TV shows like Lost and The Walking Dead would be typical subject matter. These are games where people need to survive in extreme situations. Our games are designed to appeal to anyone from ages 18 and up that appreciates action, drama, competition, and intrigue, regardless of whether they're a player of the game or a spectator of the game. This includes men and women, and people from all around the globe. We plan on hiring exceptional craftspeople only.
The origin of Outpost:
- We're building a company that will be trying some very unusual things - making us an outpost on the frontier of entertainment. Our first game will also take place on a remote tropical island.
- We prefer simple logos: the kind you might find yourself doodling in your notebook.
- Black and white is preferred with one additional color at most is preferred, and with typographic font that we can replicate in our company presentations and in the game.
- The use of simple gradients is okay.
- We want to create an image of being serious, adult, technically amazing and artistically sophisticated.
- No cartoon characters or rainbow color schemes.
I've attached some logos that we love for reference.

Should not have
