Logo Design Brief

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS!!! I've rejected lot's of designs in the past because they didn't read the basic requirements - thanks and good luck!

Data Ventures is a UK technology / small holding company that invests in startups and develops new ideas. In addition it provides IT Professional Services.

Ideally the design will be simple, professional, smooth, strong, sophisticated, and overall be nice to look at. I don't plan on changing this for decades so it should be timeless as well.

You can be creative as you like with the text and logo, equally as simple as you like - you guys are the professionals so I'll leave it to your inspiration!

Requirements

Must have

• It should be modern and any artwork (if used) should be simple
  - Pastel colours, dark and light colours, and shades are preferred over bright colours
  - The logo colour and design will be incorporated into the design of the web site, documents, etc, so please bear that in mind (a global colour scheme)
  - Be able to use just the logo separately. For example make a logo from the D and V that can be separated from the text

Nice to have

• - Should be provided in vector format (EPS and AI), and PNG with transparent and white backgrounds at completion
  - Must have a transparent background that can easily be used in different places (web site / documents, etc)

Should not have

• Ideally no bright colours (I prefer pastel colours, dark and light colours, and shades)
  - Thin fonts
  - Prefer lower case letters to capitals (The D and V can be capital but don't have to be)
  - Effects that make it difficult to print, for example coloured drop shadows don't print well on business cards
  - Italic or old fashioned looking fonts, i.e. anything like Times New Roman is a NO!
