We were not given any dimensions or information on live area or trim size for bleeds. I will send an inquiry to the publication. Thank you for asking.
This is what the publication provided:
Trim size: 8 1/2" x 11" (or 51x00 x 66x00 picas).
Type page size: 3 columns, each 2 1/4" wide by 10" deep (13x06 x 60x00 picas).
Method of printing: Offset – sheetfed. Standard and advertising sizes only.
We can accept PDF files if it is saved as high resolution files (300 dpi) and has all fonts embedded.
Additionally, files can be PC or Mac and should be built in a page layout program including Quark or Indesign. All fonts and support files should be supplied with the document. All bleeds should be 1/8" outside of trim size. Support files should be in one of the following formats: Adobe, Photoshop, Corel Draw, Freehand, eps, tiff or jpeg. Eps, tiff or jpeg must be 300dpi or of such a large size that when they are reduced, the dpi will be at least 266 (for example, if the photo is 72 dpi (low resolution), it will need to be reduced to approximately 25 percent of the original size).
Thanks for the information!
Please send me your feedback, whether I’m in correct track.
Thanks & Regards
Submitted revision.
Thanks
Katrina
I have used stock photos in my ad concepts. I was just advised by DesignCrowd that I must be able to give it to the you with the design (hence I must have paid for it to use it) unless previously agreed by the client and myself. The $200 budget for this project doesn't cover purchase price for the image. I thought that if my design was selected, you would go to the stock photo website and purchase it directly, then send it to me. Would that be agreeable? To summarize, if my design is chosen, how would you want to handle the stock image purchase?

You should have used only images that you own or have purchased, unless discussed with me in advance. I cannot select your design if it means that have to double my budget in order to use the image you included in the design.
Thanks for the reply. That's fair. In that case, I will withdraw one of the versions of the ad I submitted, being the one with the men and woman looking forward, which was expensive. The other version with the guy on his cell phone will work. I don't own it, but will pay for it out of your budget/payment. It will be worth it if you were to select my design. Thanks again.
We have received many really good designs, making our selection of the winner very difficult. We will be making our decision shortly. Thank you all for your submissions. This has be a great experience and we will be submitting a larger design project in the very near future.
