Logo Design Brief

Please have a look www.florianwardell.net, this is my photography portfolio.
I need a logo that I can use both for my personal photography and commercial photography.
It should look fairly "classic" and elegant, this is a high-end business.
If you don't like the pictures, please don't work on this.

People, I work in advertising, so I kinda know how the creative process works.

Please, don't draw shapes because they look pretty, draw them because they mean something. I am asking for a concept. Play with my name's typography, find a leitmotiv in my pictures to use, make it look classy and high-end, but don't just draw geometric forms in hope that I would randomly like them.
When I see your designs, I want to think "aha, I see what you did there!", I want it to be original.
Also, avoid fonts like Arial or Comic Sans. Extra points for custom typefaces.

I am a little disappointed by the overall quality of the designs that were submitted until now.

My brief was left short in order to encourage you to be creative, but perhaps I should be a little more precise. Here are some logos which I like.
Note the careful typography, the though-out elements and the overall balance of the designs.

    Smart monograms are always a big idea.
    Big + for customized fonts.
Should not have
  • Avoid using camera or aperture icons, unless the idea is really good.
    These motifs are overused.
    Make sure the logo is not too modern. I like fonts like Didot or Trajan Pro.
