We provide AutoCad training to individuals from the construction industry. There are a few other training companies but we want to stand out from the typical, dull and boring concept of classroom learning, black and white cooperate sector and make the one-to-one software training courses, simple, fun and easy to learn; hence the name Cad and Coffee. The company also provides training in other Cad softwares like Sketchup, Photoshop, Rivet etc and Cad services to clients but initially we are focusing on AutoCad alone.
Why we chose the name Cad and "COFFEE" for our company?
A futurist researcher claimed that the noise level in coffee shops is perfect to enhance creativity in humans as compared to learning environments that very either too noisy or pin drop silent. We also believe that food and drinks help people to become a bit more relaxed, hence making them comfortable in their learning environments.
Please note that our clients are cooperate clients, so despite having a different, funky company name, the logo will have to cater for a cooperate industry.
I want the logo to be:
1. Professional
2. Different / Unusual / Memorable (Can be bold!!)
3. Not to be over crowded (a strong symbol will be preferred over plain fonts)
4. A Coffee mug can be used in the logo but please remember - the business is about informal AutoCad/ Cad software training, not about coffee -
5. Designer can use any color - Although I will prefer not more than 3 colors logo. Too many colors can make it look overwhelming.
6. Keep it simple,
I am very passionate about my work and I will welcome design suggestions from the designer and will be happy to answer any further questions. Looking forward to a productive design process.
*AutoCad is Computer Aided Design software that architects, engineers and designers use for drafting purposes e.g floor plans, elevations, etc.
Updates
Hi Designers,

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: A couple of logo's were close to what I wanted but most logo designs I have received so far are more about "Coffee" and less about "CAD" (Computer Aided Design) and having designers, engineers and architects as my main clientele, I don't feel that I have found the right logo yet.

Dear Designers,

Target Market(s)
Cooperate clients example Engineers. Architects, Designers, Surveyors etc
Even though we deal with cooperate clients, the name suggests "informal training" Cad and Coffee.
Logo should be making a very strong statement, be professional yet playful. There is a very fine line and the design will have to create a prefect balance between the two without going overboard, and making it either too boring or too unprofessional.
It should be contained and minimal.

- Try and make clever use of the negative space. Positive space can be designed to create equally strong designs. I leave it up to the designer.
It would be interesting to see the use of 2 Cs in the name Cad and Coffee.
