Logo Design Brief

Required is a logo design for a new online subscription magazine that will specifically target the fans of the genres of cosplay (costume play), science fiction, fantasy, anime, computer gaming and comic books/graphic novels.

It would be helpful, although not required, if prospective designers had an interest in one or more of these genres.

The name of the publication is "Seishin Shiro" or "White Spirit"

The magazine will have the appearance of a print magazine and be made available online as a cross platform flip magazine which includes desktop, iOS and Android.

The type of the magazine can best be described as a lifestyle magazine that will focus on stories about fans and interests in these genres. This may include stories of cosplayers themselves, book, game and movie reviews, costume making tips, interviews with celebrities, tours, events/exhibitions, lots of photos and even cooking and travel tips.

The logo's primary purpose is for the use as a title on the front cover of the magazine. The logo will also be used in other communication channels including a website, blogs, video, print material, t-shirts etc.

The logo is to reflect the magazine's philosophy, which centres on creativity, imagination and fun. Inclusion of the Japanese symbols for Seishin Shiro is desirable but this can be omitted if their inclusion impacts negatively on the design of the logo.

Designs should be made available in landscape and portrait, full colour, grey scale and black and white. File types required must include Adobe design files, jpeg, eps, png, tiff and pdf.

All intellectual property is to be transferred to Limewurx.
