T-shirt Design Brief

We have two retail stores in a beautiful little tourist town in the South Island of New Zealand called Akaroa. Its got a bit of French influence because France tried to settle NZ from there, but the British beat them to it. Its a small seaside village built on an extinct volcanic crater, and the crater is now a harbour which is home to native marine life including the rare Hectors dolphins. People come from all over the world to see and swim with these great little dolphins. We are looking for a t shirt design which we can sell in our shops mainly to tourists and visitors. It should include the words 'Akaroa' and 'New Zealand' Our market is everyone from 20 year old backpackers to 50 year old cruise ship passengers.

Hi, thanks for the designs so far. To give some direction, we are looking for something a little more designer style and a little less touristy. The words Akaroa and New Zealand dont need to absolutely dominate, they can be subtle and built into the design. The images uploaded were to give a feel for the township and dont have to be used. As an idea a french flag stylised might be appropriate and the dolphins are always popular. there are images on our web site www.blackcat.co.nz if needed.

Thanks for the designs though we still feel they are a bit 'in your face' and need to be  more subtle, classy and stylish, perhaps retro look?

I am not sure that the bold photos are the way to go and some sort of drawn imagery may be better.
