Hello, Thank you so much for the invite! I had a question before I started working on your project. I saw the sketch that you uploaded, so would you just like a graphic design/illustration of a plane similar to your drawing? Are there any specific colors etc that you like? Please help me to understand a little better what you are looking for so I can create a design you will like :)
Thank you, Brittany

Hi Brittany, I am looking for a paint scheme design for that airplane. I was hoping for something a little different than the usual Pitts Special sunburst. I was wanting you to use the drawing and create a design. As far as Color I am open to what you think goes well. My only request is not to use black as the base. The wings will have a composite covering, and black absorbs too much heat. The airplane will be used for aerobatic competition, and later possibly for airshows. I hope that clarifies what I need.

Thanks

Hi Thanks for invite.. Very keen as I have done some airline livery before.. can you give me the actual model of the plane to see if I can find a clearer image or the specs of this plane? Other wise I'll use the sketch...Thanks.

Thanks for taking the project. The drawing I supplied is very close to what the actual airplane will be when finished. I have made a couple of modifications , but that is the basic outline. The plane itself is quite small. 18 1/2 foot wingspan, 20 foot length. 260 hp engine, with a roll rate of about 300 degrees per second. If there is any other information you want, please do not hesitate to ask,
Thanks,
Dennis

Hi dennis. Thanks for invite and for your consideration :)
Can you provide a sketch with the down view of your biplane? Or are you going to paint the down side in the same colors of the upper side? :)

thank you, see ya soon

The bottom will get painted with a solid bar along the leading edge and wide 18" stripes of alternating colors, depending on the final color selection. This provides contrast for the judges when the aircraft is rolling very fast.
Thanks
Dennis

Are you looking for solid colours or are gradients okay?

Gradients would work as long as there is not too many. They are more difficult to paint.
