Logo Design Brief
I need a Logo for a new dance school. It is in New Zealand and will offer Classical Ballet and Contemporary dance classes from beginner to pre-professional level. I would like the logo to convey a Smart, Professional School without any of the 'normal' pointe shoes, frilly things, or 'Arabesque' type figures so often seen for ballet schools.
I'd prefer it to be contemporary & timeless in look, maybe text only, although if the right design incorporated some 'artistic brush strokes' would consider this too.
Logo will be on website, fliers etc, and there is a possibility that the logo/text will later be printed onto T-shirts as well. Colours that would work for me are Burgundy/maroon/dark red, Black, shades of Grey & of course white. The text to be included is the name of the business, KMS Dance studio with 'Dance' being most important to stand out ie CAPS or different colour, then KMS, then 'studio' which could be 'handwritten' style text.... In addition 'classical ballet' & 'contemporary dance' should be incorporated so the viewer knows the 'type of dance. This has less importance though than the KMS and Dance and would be good if the design allowed for the use with or without the extra wording.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I sent out for some feedback and unfortunately they have taken longer to get back to me. But the majority of feedback was that the inclusion of classical ballet | contemporary dance is needed.
If you would like to add this to the design you submitted (NO Caps needed only small font please) I would appreciate it. However, do not feel you need to do a whole new design, many I have received would only require this to be added below the original logo.

Also, NOT red but a Burgundy richer deep red colour would be great - it needs to be gender neutral - NO Pink please! I am open to most colours except Yellow or Purple.
Nice to have
- A small elegant flowing element to accentuate the 'dance' movement in logo - not all straight lines ie, the S in studio could be more flowing, or the KMS part could be in 'freer' text.
Should not have
- Pointe Shoes, definite figures in a balletic pose, ribbons, unless very very abstract!
