Logo Design Brief
I need an updated logo for a charity called Wright to Read. They are based in Alexandria, Virginia (just outside Washington DC) and help kids who are behind in their reading skills to catch-up. They recruit, train, and support volunteer tutors and mentors who work with elementary school students on reading.
What makes Wright to Read different from many other reading programs is that a student and mentor are paired up for a long period of time, not just as a short time tutor.
The group is called Wright to Read, was started by Frank and Betty Wright in 1979 - personally funded to help kids in Alexandria, Virginia.
You can read more about the organization on their website, WrightToRead.com/
The existing logo is attached. You are welcome to keep using the green color. The child with the book should not be included - it looks too old fashioned.
We do want the name of the charity along with some sort of icon / symbol.
Of course... we want to make sure the finished work is good both large and small. Not too complicated. Is quick to understand. Expresses something about what the charity does.
