Logo Design Brief

We are setting up a memorial endowment website for a close friend who passed away last year and are looking for a logo design/branding that can be used on the website. The name of the website will be 'The Nick Kaschik Memorial Endowment'. The endowment will support education for under privileged students as well as go to research for heart disease and heart disease related illnesses.

The schools with endowments setup are The Peddie School (Blue and Gold) and USC (USC Cardinal and USC Gold), so would be nice if some of the colors are included as part of the logo where it works. Nick was also an extremely good swimmer and spent most of his life in competive swimming including national competitions and to this day still holds several school records.

For inspiration, below is Nicks bio:

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Nick was a gifted swimmer very early in his swimming career. He was a member of the United States National Junior team in 1993 representing the USA in Paris, France. In 1994, Nick enrolled at The Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey. At Peddie, Nick again found success in the pool placing 10th in the 1996 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 200IM, winning the 1996 US Open in the 200IM and being awarded with the meets Most Valuable Swimmer honors. Nick continues to hold the school records in the 200IM and 200 free relay more than 14 years after setting those records. As a political science major at the University of Southern California, Nick was an All-American and 8-time PAC 10 finalist . A personality like no other, he rarely passed up the opportunity to make light of life’s more humorous moments. He made the ordinary extraordinarily hilarious and was able to extract more laughter out of his days than those who will live to be twice his age. For all of us who knew Nick well, his many stories continue to live on…

Our efforts are dedicated towards ensuring that Nick’s legacy continues through endowment programs established in Nick’s name both at The Peddie School and the University of Southern California. We also encourage those interested to support The Hope Heart Institute. The Hope has a 50-year history of revolutionary medical advances and educational curricula that make heart disease - America's No. 1 cause of death - more treatable, beatable, and preventable.
