Logo Design Brief

We operate a small oyster farm in the pristine waters of Cape Cod Bay in Massachusetts USA. My partner Sue Nickerson is a grant holder, a 16th generation Cape Codder and one of very few female oyster farmers in the region. We cultivate and harvest amazingly fresh oysters. Our oysters are sold out each season. So, our mission is to generate added sales through branding.

We want to promote the concept of carefully attended oysters with nicely shaped cups and the delicious briney flavor which results from the amazing estuary in which the oysters grow. The successful logo will be a readily identifiable Branding Element (oyster personality) to be used on collateral promotional materials. This image should be edgy and fun and graphically easy to use in various formats. We were thinking along the lines of cartoon or line art but are totally open to suggestions.

Two of our slogans: "When Cup Size Matters" and "Come Out Of Your Shell".
We have a commitment to community giving where part of our harvest will go to a designated not for profit. The slogan for this : "Nickel an Oyster"
