Hi everyone, just a quick note — please have another read through the brief before submitting.
A lot of the designs so far are leaning heavily into traditional firefighter imagery and vintage coffee packaging. While we're not against those elements, we're looking for something with much more personality and humour.
We don't want the packaging to simply say “this is coffee made by firefighters.” The 3rd Alarm branding already does that.
We're looking for an idea that makes someone pick the bag up, have a closer look and think “Fuck, I wouldn't have thought of that.”
Think Australian firefighter humour, irreverence, character and something a little unexpected. It should feel like it came from people who have actually done the job — not generic firefighter-themed coffee packaging.
Please refer back to the references and direction in the brief before submitting.
Thanks everyone.

Hi please feedback

Thanks everyone for the work so far. Before the contest closes, I want to clarify that I'm still not seeing the direction I'm looking for. Most entries are leaning heavily into traditional firefighter imagery — helmets, turnout gear, boots, fire trucks, red/black graphics and vintage coffee packaging. I'm specifically trying to move away from that. 3rd Alarm is a modern Australian brand built around firefighter culture, humour and personality, not a traditional “firefighter coffee” brand. I'm looking for something simpler, more distinctive and unexpected, the kind of bag you'd recognise from across the room without needing a firefighter illustration on it. Please don't add more firefighter imagery or more copy. I'd much rather see one strong, original idea than another polished variation of the directions already submitted. Please see again attached examples for direction/feel we are looking for.
